Categories & Nomination Criteria

Best Restaurant North:

A restaurant popular for its food, service, reputation, ambience/decor and good will. Customers will vote for their favourite restaurant in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Best Restaurant South-East:

A restaurant popular for its food, service, reputation, ambience/decor and good will. Customers will vote for their favourite restaurant in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

Best Restaurant West:

A restaurant popular for its food, service, reputation, ambience/decor and good will. Customers will vote for their favourite restaurant in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.

Best Restaurant CBD:

A restaurant popular for its food, service, reputation, ambience/decor and good will. Customers will vote for their favourite restaurant in the CBD area of Melbourne. CBD area will include Carlton, Richmond, Port Melbourne, South Melbourne and St Kilda

Best Food truck:

A food truck renowned for its food, popularity and service. Customers will vote for the best food truck operator that operate in and around Melbourne including suburbs.

Best Ambience:

Restaurants popular for decor, lighting, seating and entertainment. Customers will vote for the best restaurant across Melbourne to choose their favourite spot for ambience.

Best Concept:

Restaurants that are innovative with their ideas and are unique in its concepts. Restaurants nominating under this category would have a unique concept around their restaurant. For example a restaurant modelled around a Punjabi Dhaba, a restaurant tailored to recreate an Indian village, a restaurant created around the concept of a rickshaw and more.

Best Service:

Restaurants that believe customers are king. Under this category, the staff would be extremely popular with the customers for their friendly and courteous manners, dressing sensibility, advise given on food and beverages.

Winners for the 7 categories will be announced based on a transparent public voting process.

Note: We have a stringent voting system that allows only one vote per email address and only votes from within Australia will be accepted.
